Isle of Wight County is once again monitoring potential snowfall for this evening. While it is our practice to notify families of schedule changes by 7:00 PM the night before, the timing of this particular storm presents a unique challenge.

Decision Timing: Because the storm is expected to move through late tonight, a final decision regarding tomorrow’s schedule may not be made until very late tonight or very early Thursday morning.

Immediate Notification: As soon as a decision is made, we will post updates to our division and school websites, social media channels, and local TV stations. We will also send an immediate email and text alert.

Phone Calls: To respect your time for rest, no automated phone calls will be sent until 5:00 AM. * No News is Good News: You will only receive a notification if there is a change to Thursday’s schedule. If the schedule remains normal, no alert will be sent.
The Forecast: A Winter Weather Advisory is in effect from 6:00 PM tonight through 4:00 AM Thursday. Forecasters predict rain changing to snow, with a possible 1–2 inches in some areas. Please be aware that these conditions may result in slippery roads, particularly on bridges and overpasses.
