Message from the Principal

Dear Carrsville Family:

Welcome to the 2013-2014 school year!  We are going to have another fantastic year, and we are off to a great start!

As I begin my second year as the principal of CES, I am so grateful to be part of this wonderful school community.  Carrsville Elementary is a very special place, and I am honored to work with such a fine faculty and staff.  I continue to be amazed each day at the amazing work our students are doing in their classes.  With just over 250 students, Carrsville Elementary may be small in size, but we are big of heart.  And when it comes to caring for our children and ensuring that exciting learning opportunities are taking place each day, there is no match for CES.

This year, our theme is “CES has HEART – Helping Everyone Achieve Remarkable Things.”  We were honored to receive the Governor’s VIP Award again last year, as well as a nomination from the state for a Blue Ribbon Award.  While our test scores continue to be above the state average in virtually all areas again last year, we are committed to continuous improvement as we work to meet the needs of all of our students in order to ensure their success.  Of course, this is a team effort, and I want to thank you in advance for your continued support of our students and our teachers.

Please consider joining the PTA, as another way of supporting our school, and we look forward to seeing you at events in the future.

Please feel free to contact me with any questions or concerns you may have.

Sincerely,

Laura Matthews

Principal
